VAL is a test that detects values, that is, the convictions and beliefs that define what is important to the person and that provide the criteria for ordering one’s goals and evaluating one’s actions. They also provide indications on their compatibility/tuning with the organizational context of reference.
The structure of values, according to the Schwartz Model, can be summarized in two main axes:
It can be used in selection, development, individual and group coaching, guidance and career counseling.
It can allow the recognition of the harmony between individual and organizational values and represent a good predictor of organizational engagement and involvement.
Tradition
For you, in the workplace, it is a priority that you accept the ideas, values and methods consolidated over time and those who are committed to sharing them also with the new hires. Your choices at work are therefore oriented to the maintenance and enhancement of what has always characterized the organization to which you belong. In the daily life of the organization you tend to observe the cultural tradition of the organization by promoting what has been built in the past.
